In Conversation: Real-life responses to COVID-19 and MS

triMSx educational meeting

Wednesday 2 September 2020

| 19:00-20:30 BST | 14:00-15:30 EST | 20:00-21:30 CEST

People with multiple sclerosis continue to face increased risks and challenges in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. As many countries begin to move out of isolation, there are many unanswered questions.

  • ‘How does the immune system respond to viral infection?’
  • ‘How do DMTs affect these responses?’
  • ‘Is the COVID-19 virus mutating?’
  • ‘How can we prevent a second and subsequent wave of infections?’

We encourage you to participate by joining us live and posing your questions to the experts during the panel discussion

About this event

triMSx events are free educational initiatives linked to the triMS.online conferences. Led by the triMS.online Scientific Steering Committee, these events are webcasts or short presentations highlighting the latest research and clinical insights on a chosen topic.

For this triMSx event, the Scientific Steering Committee has chosen two contrasting case studies. COVID-19 continues to raise many questions for patients and their care providers such as:

  • What is the current advice on shielding?
  • How do we manage mental health issues around shielding?
  • Will patients be able to clear the COVID-19 virus?
  • Would being on an alternative DMT be safer?

This is an opportunity for the global MS community to share valuable knowledge about such issues, so please save the date and join us for this special event.
